Sometimes it’s time to step back and observe, rather than getting caught up in the emotional mire. Dust off your Spock ears and put on your logical, rational, reasonable hat. There’s a time for everything, and now is the time to detach emotionally, if only temporarily, to get the lay of the land and a broader, unbiased view. If we never step back we can’t get a clean, clear perspective. When we do, we begin to see and feel things in ways we never expected. Expectations? Highly overrated.
